SCULPTURE
The bottles are a series that reflect humanity. It is my belief that life presents a continual series of opportunities for growth. At times in that growing process we all reach a point of brokenness. After reaching the point where all seems lost, life then becomes the beauty of being reshaped and uniquely formed into a purposed design. I am convinced that there is a divine Creator who, with ultimate artistic skill, shapes us into who we are intended to be... our role is simply to be pliable.

The bottles represent a uniquely refined design for each of us, formed by God the potter. Each bottle, so singular in its fragmentation and repair, sheds a disparate light when placed over a candle. The process of being reshaped is not an easy one, but it has to happen because it is the brokenness that forces our character to grow strong. If we had not been broken, our light would not shine; we would not be individually and beautifully unique.

Jeremiah 18:1-6
This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message." So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the LORD came to me: "...can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand."
